AFA is a student-led advocacy organization at the University of Calgary, dedicated to promoting the wellbeing, dignity, and safety of both children and elderly populations. Our team consists of undergraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds, united by a commitment to intergenerational advocacy, education, and community engagement. We work to bridge gaps between age groups by raising awareness, supporting advocacy initiatives, and strengthening connections among students, faculty, and community organizations. We believe that meaningful change begins with education, collaboration, and action. By partnering with campus resources, advocacy centres, and local organizations, we amplify existing efforts while creating opportunities for students to contribute to real-world impact.
